June (nee Tidball) Boisseau, 85, of Austin, Texas died on January 11, 2011. She was born on June 15, 1925 in Norwood, Ohio to Carl Westlake Tidball and Irene Laurson. She graduated from Walnut Hills High School, Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1943, and received a BS in Art from the University of Cincinnati in 1948 where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Her nickname was “Tidge.” She married Fitz Patrick Boisseau in 1951.

An artist of many gifts, she worked first in abstracts and later found landscape painting a compelling direction for her talents. For much of her life June worked as a commercial artist, for many years as an art director at Gibson Greeting Cards in Amberly Village, Ohio, then, moving to Texas in 1979, as an art director at Drawing Board Greeting Cards in Dallas, Texas. She retired in 1992 from Argus Communications, Allen, Texas. In Austin she was a member and past president of The Palette Club and of St. Albert the Great’s Great Club.

June is survived by eight children: Jonathan Boisseau, Mill Valley, California; Michelle Boisseau (Thomas Stroik), Kansas City, Missouri; Madeline Vincent (Robert Stevens), Austin; Nancy Achberger (James), Milford, Ohio; Robert Boisseau (Tracey), Pleasant Plain, Ohio; Charles Boisseau, Austin; Barbara Brown (Steven), Smithfield, RI; and Denise Hoelting (Russell), Austin. She was predeceased by her oldest child, Fitz Patrick “Pat” Boisseau III.

June is also survived by fourteen grandchildren: Jesse (Khara); Jeremy (Lindsey), Kate, Allison, Katie, Denise, Emma, Anna, Craig, Shelby, Paige, Natalie, Shane, and Jacob, and by three great-grandchildren. June leaves her loved ones buoyed by her indomitable spirit, immense strength, sense of adventure, agile curiosity, and deep Christian faith.

Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 17th at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Austin, Texas. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. A memorial service will follow in spring at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati where she will be interred.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Austin.
