Memories & Candles
George and Mickey always made me feel a welcome part of their family the many holidays I spent with them in Austin. And they were always especially loving to Mother.
I don't beleive I've known a more Godly or kinder man. I miss him.

George H. Henry was the sweetest man I have ever known! So gentle and kind to everyone.. He exuded the spirit of Christ that lived within his heart.. His prayers were a vision into his heart.. George loved Mickey, and her girls, Gayla, and Lesa as his own.. Our family always appreciated George and his kind gentle nature.. I pray that his passing on to be with Jesus will only serve to make heaven even more precious in your heart,

George was a very dear friend and we always enjoyed our dinners with he and Mickey. George was like another father to me and reminded me a lot of my own father. We will miss our conversations and time we spent. We know he is in a much better place and with our wonderful Lord, but we will still miss his smile and gentle way.
Our love, Marc and Jackie

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of George but I know that my Christian brother is with the Lord now. I remember working with George on various church committee assignments and I was always impressed with his dedication to the cause of Christ. He was a mentor and role model for me in the way he conducted himself. He will not only be missed by his family but also by the many friends that have known him over the years.
Condolences,
John Sartain

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Henry. He was always a gentle, quiet man, but also one with great wisdom and insight. My prayers and thoughts are with the family at this time.

What a sweet, gentle man George was. His dedication and love for his family and church were so evident. When we moved from Sharpstown Baptist Church to Sugar Creek, George and Mickey took us out for dinner at Landry's Seafood, and we had a wonderful time of fellowship with them. This was the kind of gesture which was so common with George and Mickey. May God give you his peace and comfort during this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love, Alton & Sallie

Dear David and Lisa and family,
Bob and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of George. We hope he did not have a difficult transition to his new place beside his maker. It is hard for those of you who are left to hold his memory and we are praying you will find the way to peace. Hope all is well with the two of you and please tell Mickey we are thinking of her and the rest

I served on staff at Sharpstown Baptist Church during the 1980’s and it was a blessing to work alongside of George in the various ministries of the church. His calming spirit and demeanor as well as his sage wisdom was a frequent source of help and guidance to this minister, who was young and green at the time. He provided great leadership as the church treasurer during the ‘oil bust’ years in Houston which resulted in seeing many families losing

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting George, I've heard that he was a wonderful and well-loved man. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time of loss.
