Memories & Candles
Janet was my contact for compliance of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Not only was she one of the most conscientious persons when this law was new and folks were resistant, but every time i saw her or we spoke, she had a big smile and was always cheerful. She helped me a lot with her dept responsibilities and I enjoyed every meeting with her. She was a joy to everyone whom she came in contact with and of course will be sorely missed.

I had the opportunity to meet and spend time with Janet and Gillis on several occassions while visiting my Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Tom as a child. She always called me Kelligans. They were always kind and generous and I looked forward to spending time with them. One of my most fond memories was when we went out on their houseboat for the day. It has been many years since I have seen them but they will always stay in my heart. Janet will be missed greatly.

Dear beloved family: You are in our thoughts and prayers. We love Janet and Gil so much. We miss Janet and she will be in our thoughts forever. Janet was such a part of our lives. She was one of the sweetest persons anyone could ever know. If there is anything we can do for you, please let us know.
Our deepest sympathy to you.

I met Janet only 4-5 times and what I remember is her big smile, good humor and always thinking of others. On my most recent visit, she brought me over a birthday cake to celebrate. I know she will be truly missed by all of her friends and relatives, especially my sister Bonnie and her husband Tom. To the family - may you find comfort in God's promise, know she is in a wonderful place, and you will see her again smiling in glory at her Savior's side.

Janet was more like a sister to me. We decided last year that that word more accurately described our relationship. She was the bravest person I have ever known and she will be terribly missed. I have so many stories about "Janek"[my 3 year old daughters' version .of her name.Gil and Gannon thank you for sharing this wonderful person with us. She will not be forgotten. We love you all very much.

I have so many wonderful memories of Janet that it's impossible to pick just one. Do you remember when we were at the Capitol during the vigil, and she changed out of her 1860's dress right in front of the Capitol security camera? I'm sure she got their attention! How many times did we tease her about having a little bit of iced tea with her lemons? And how many times did she pick on you about buying the motorcycle?

Gillis - my prayers have been said for you and your family. Take comfort in the Lord and know that Janet is standing with him smiling down on you and the rest of the family. Love, Caren
